What's In My Make Up Bag? ♥

I love, love, looove this make up bag from Primark. It's actually meant to be a toiletries bag that you hang on the back of your door, but I thought it would be perfect as a make up bag. Only costing £4.00 from Primark and being an excellent Cath Kidston dupe, well, I had to have it!
All of these products are my must-go-to items in my make up bag at the moment. I'm loving Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation, and it is so beautiful mixed with Mac Strobe Cream...perfect duo. I find that as my foundation is so long lasting, I'm not really having to use my L'oreal Studio Secrets Primer, but It's such a lovely product that I always pop it in my make up bag just in case. My favourite concealers are Benefit Erase Paste and Collection Long Lasting Concealer. I never used to be a big fan of the Erase Paste- I didn't feel it did anything for me...ah, so wrong I was! I suffer from terrible red/blueish bags under my eyes, and I find that this product really diminishes the blue and red tones. I then blob a little Collection Concealer on, and I look awake and bright eyed. My favourite highlighters are Estee Lauder Double Wear Highlighter, perfect for above the eyebrows, and Me Me Me highlighter, which looks a real treat on the cheek bones. I always finish the look with a touch of Rimmel Stay Matte Powder as I have oily skin occasionally, and a little Rimmel Sun Shimmer in the Summer- it's also perfect for contouring as it has very little shimmer to it.
On my eyes I am loving Estee Lauder Double Wear creamy eye shadow pots in Ivory Lace. It stays put all day, and has such a natural, beautiful shimmer. I also enjoy L'oreal Colour Appeal Star Secret Trio eyeshadows (what a mouthful!) when I fancy a smokey eye. Favourite mascaras are L'oreal Telescopic mascara for super curled and separated lashes, and L'oreal Double Extension Renewal Mascara for extra length. I also really love my H&M Light Brown Eyebrow Pencil....an absolute bargain, lovely colour and stays put all day. I always curl my lashes with Primark lash curlers...absolute bargain at £2.00.
I am currently using Real Techniques brushes; the Buffing Brush and Contour Brush being my favourite. I recently bought some Italian Brushes from a Company called Kubo Beauty. They retail around the £13 mark, but I know are also available in TkMaxx at the moment for a little cheaper. I'm not sure how I feel about them yet- the concealer brush is lovely, but I find the powder brush is a little dry and irritates my skin at times...shame, because they look pretty impressive.
I've also been trying Seventeen Shimmer Palettes which are new to the collection- I'm not really that impressed. It has little colour pay off and the pigmentation is really pants. I am however loving the Estee Lauder Double Wear blusher....it is such a gorgeous colour, but I think it was limited edition because I can't find it to be available anywhere!

What are your favourite things in your make up bag? I'd love to know!

Updated- What's in my make-up bag? ♥

I'm still using many of the same products from my last make-up bag post, which means they must be really good because I love to try new products. There are a few new products that have crept into my everyday make-up routine recently however, and I'm really impressed by their quality.
 Make-up bag- Topshop
I love this make-up bag, bought for me by my lovely friend, Joanna for my birthday. It's really spacious but still small enough to pop into my handbag. I love the vibrant colour, the gold zip, and especially the polka dot interior.
Products, from left-right; Eco tool powder brush, Dior Forever 020 foundation (review available HERE), Estee Lauder Advanced Nigh Repair sample, Benefit High Beam sample, Estee Lauder Double Wear powder in Fresco 01 (review available HERE), Estee Lauder Signature Powder Blush (review available HERE), Rimmel Glam Eyes 180 Gold Rush, Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer 261 Noir, Maybelline Lash Stiletto Mascara (review available HERE), Lumi Magique Primer (review available HERE), L'oreal Made For Naturals  235 Lipstick, Burberry Lipstick sample No. 04.
As you can see, I'm still using many of the same products- click on the links to review.
Some of the new products that have made it into my make up bag include the L'oreal lipstick. It is the most gorgeous colour, and has the most beautiful scent. The aim of the lip stick is to compliment your hair colour, and I definitely think it does. I've had so many compliments since wearing it- many people saying I look tanned? It must compliment my skin tone too!
I tend to wear a lot of gold or neutral eye shadows, and I received the most lovely Estee Lauder sample as part of a gift set. It has four colours, all so beautiful and shimmery. I actually think the colours are very Spring, although I received the sample in June. My favourite colour is 10 Ivory Slipper Satin. It's so pretty, and the pigmentation is amazing, and it last for hours without creasing or moving.
I bought Rimmel Glam Eyes 180 Gold Rush on a complete whim. I thought the colour look alright, and I'd just see if it was any good. Well it was better then alright. The pigmentation is so good, and it looks really beautiful. I really think it compliments my green eyes, and makes them stand out. It's quite shimmery so I've been using it for evenings. I also find it makes a fantastic highlighter or great for a little bit of shimmer.

Top 5 Summer Nail Varnishes ♥

Summer is finally here it seems! The sun is shining, my sunnies are on, and for once I can leave the house without wearing thick tights! My make up always reflects the seasons, particularly my lip sticks and nail varnishes. My nail varnishes in the summer are always in candy colours or soft pinks.
These are my top 5 nail varnishes for this Summer.....
From left: Ciate Piant pot in Purple Sherbet, Rimmel I love Fruities 025  Strawberry Fizz, 17 Supreme Shine in Simply Pink,Rimmel Pro in 500 Peppermint and Rimmel 60 Seconds 405 Rose Libertine.
My current favourite summer nail varnish- Rimmel Pro in 500 Peppermint.

1. Rimmel Pro in 500 Peppermint- I love this nail varnish. It is such a gorgeous colour and perfect shade for Summer. It doesn't chip either, which is a massive bonus. There's nothing more I hate then having the perfect nails and then them chipping straight away. The only negative is that the varnish is quite watery, therefore it takes around three coats for the varnish to have such a "popping" colour. It dries quickly though, so this isn't such a problem.

2. Rimmel 60 Seconds 405 Rose Libertine- Such a beautiful colour. I'm a massive fan of Rimmel nail varnishes. I think the quality is amazing, and I'm so impressed with the finish of my nails when I use them. This nail varnish dries so quickly, applies beautifully and just looks stunning. A real pretty, Summer pink.

3. 17 Supreme Shine Simply Pink- This shade looks even more amazing on the nails then in the bottle. I actually picked this shade after I saw my flat mates nails. They looked so pretty, neat and pearly that I just had to know what she had on her nails. I wasn't disappointed...the shade is gorgeous and so pretty when it hits the sun. I love 17 products- Good quality and great prices.

4. Ciate Paint Pots in Purple Sherbet- This was a magazine freebie and there were three shades to choose form, however I just thought this was the perfect Summer shade. The only thing I dislike about Ciate products is that they chip so easily. I always think the finish looks amazing and really professional, but my nails literally chip within an hour. It's a shame because I love this colour so much. It's the perfect on trend candy colour.

5. Rimmel I Love Fruities 025 Strawberry Fizz- This polish looks as gorgeous as it smells. I love these scented Rimmel nail varnishes. Not only is the shade the most gorgeous, eye catching pink, but it smells so sweet and sugary like cherries.

Rimmel Strawberry Fizz ♥

I absolutely love this nail varnish. I love the colour, I love that it takes a few minutes to dry, and I love that it smells of strawberries! It has to be the perfect nail varnish. I'm really impressed with Rimmel nail varnishes. They are so easy to apply, dry really quickly and last days without chipping. They're also reasonably priced. I just wish they extended the scented nail varnish range. I think they only have three in this range and I have them all. I literally spent today sniffing my nails at my desk...which looked very strange!

Oh, so scandalous!

Rimmel's new mascara VolumeFlash Scandal Eyes definitely has big results. With a massive wand, I was hoping that my lashes would be long and luscious...and I wasn't disappointed. Rimmel promise the mascara will mean that "No lash can escape! Scandalous volume, no clumps!". Well...
I have to be honest, and say that I really hate the packaging. Yes, it definitely caught my eye at the counter, but the colour is so bright. I think it looks quite unsightly, and I wouldn't really want to get it out in front of people. Maybe that's just me...
I think the results are amazing though. They're thick, but not clumpy, and so long and separated. The brush however is quite hard to use, and I struggled to get to the more tinier lashes in the corner of my eyes, and also my bottom lashes. This was slightly annoying, as I ended up with lots of tiny, black dots and splodges under my eyes and my eyelid. Although the results are pretty good, it did take a long time to achieve, and is definitely something I wouldn't be able to use if I was in a rush.
RRP £6.99, however Boots are currently offering £2.00 off.

A big mwah to Miss Moss...

Kate Moss recently celebrated ten years in collaboration with Rimmel make-up. What did Moss do to celebrate? She bought out her own collection of lipsticks for Rimmel, in fifteen gorgeous shades, of course! Miss Moss said:
"My inspiration for this range was really to create a range of easy to wear, classic shades that I have always worn and loved."

Miss Moss didn't fail. I recently purchased the 03 shade of lipstick from here range, which is  lovely, natural, everyday wearing lipstick.

I absolutely love the lipstick case. I think it's understated and chic, however, the weight of it makes it feel a little cheap. It's so, so light, but then again, how great for carrying around in our handbags!

I really love this shade. I thought all of them were beautiful, but I really was after something natural, and I think this does the job fabulously. It applies easily, and the texture is lovely...nothing too thick or cakey, and it really did last a good few hours before I had to reapply.
I'm so impressed, and at £5.99, what a bargain! It's 3 for 2 at Boots at the moment, so go and grab yourself one!

Nail of the week...

500  Peppermint from Rimmel Pro Professional Finish.

" Long lasting,  chip resistant and anti-fade colour...up to 10 days".

I LOVE this nail varnish. So far it has been on for four days and hasn't chipped, it is still just as colourful as before and I think it's a fabulous summer shade. I especially enjoyed the max brush, which made it really easy to apply. The only thing that I didn't like so much, was that it did take a couple of applications to get the desired colour, as the nail varnish appears quite watery perhaps, so the colour isn't quite the same as in the bottle when first applied.

Only £3.99 or bag yourself 3 for 2 at Superdrug.

Love, Sophie Olivia
