Mac Strobe Cream Review ♥

I absolutely love Mac Strobe Cream...I have no idea how I only just discovered it. I recently purchased Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, and although I love it, the consistency is quite thick and has a matte finish. I wanted a dewy finish however, so I decided to buy Mac Strobe Cream and combine the two. I think it's the best thing I've done. My skin looks so dewy and fresh, and so many people have complimented me on how my skin looks.
What makes this product even better, is that it contains vitamins and antioxidants that really help the skin. Mac's description of their Strobe Cream-
The ultimate quick fix for the skin. Super-powered with potent botanicals; de-snoozes, de-stresses, moistens, freshens and boosts the look of dull, flat or tired-looking skin with a fully loaded vitamin zap and a mega dose of green tea. Brightens and clarifies with iridescent particles and antioxidants. Enhances the effects of light on all skin and in all lighting conditions from sunlight to spotlight.
I also think that the benefits of Mac Strobe Cream have really improved my skin. I'v had awful break outs recently, but since using this product my skin has really improved. I love how multi-purpose it is too. Not only can it be used with your foundation, it makes an excellent moisturiser by itself, or as a highlighter.
I really am hooked on this product and I can't see myself ever not using it. You can purchase Mac Strobe Cream for £22.50 (50ml), or £12.50 (30ml). I was going to get the 30ml size to try it out before I invested in the full size, but it was unavailable...and I'm so glad it was too!

Have you tried this product? What do you think?

Because everybody wants to look like a beach babe...

I've recently been trying Simple Sun-Kissed Moisture Cream in the hope that I would look bronzed and sunny. It retails at £4.99, however Sainsbury's are currently offering any two Simple products for £4.00 (yes, really!). Well, with how the weather has been lately, my hopes of looking like a beach goddess were fading and this was the next best option! It doesn't disappoint...
Simple say the product has "gentle tanning agents to give daily moisturisation and gradually build a light, natural tan. Skin is left looking beautifully sun-kissed without any streaking, orange build up or lasting smell. Perfect for even sensitive skin".  Well, I mostly agree. I have really sensitive skin, so have always been a lover of Simple products, and this was just as lovely to my dry skin- no stinging or irritation. I've been wearing the product for the last week, and my skin looks subtly tanned, and not at all like I'm wearing a fake tan. What I especially like about the product is that I feel like I don't have to wear as much foundation, as my skin looks glowing and healthy.
The product does have that typical biscuit smell that fake tanning does seem to have...not initially, but when left to dry on the skin it doesn't smell so nice. It doesn't streak, leave tanning lines, or my hands orange. I'd definitely recommend the product if you want a touch of natural glow to your skin. I'm really impressed and wish they sold the product in a bigger bottle so I could tan my legs!

Oh, she's such a natural beauty!

I use moisturiser religiously....I have three that I swear by, and one that I love to lather on in the morning is Nivea Visage Natural Beauty. The smell of it is just so deliciously gorgeous, and the texture is so creamy. It has been named Radiance Boosting Moisturiser due to it's lovely touch of shimmer.
When I returned home from university my mum saw me slathering it on everyday, and I could tell she was intrigued. I accidentally left it at home when I returned to uni, and presumed it would be waiting for me on my bedroom floor where I left it...
I couldn't find it anywhere, and later discovered that my mum had been using it, and loved it so much that she finished the whole pot and had bought the whole Nivea Natural Beauty range.
Well, it's clearly loved by all ages then...

As you can see from the image, it just looks so velvety. If you have lovely skin, then it is the perfect moisturiser to use, as it gives you such a natural glow. I also use the facial wash in this range, just so I can try and boost my natural beauty!
It retails at £6.99, and is definitely worth buying...even just for the gorgeous smell!

Well, it really is magic indeed...

I recently purchased Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream, and I am amazed. This cream is well known, not just throughout those working in beauty and make-up, but most of us ladies have a cheeky pot ourselves. It retails at £18.99, but I bought mine for £12.99 from TKmaxx, so go and get some whilst you can!

Boots  describe this beauty essential as something that:
"calms and helps relieve chapped, cracked and dry skin. It works efficiently to sooth roughness, redness and minor skin irritations. This award winning cream has also been praised by make-up artists and beauty editors for many years now and no self respecting model would be without this cult product in their make-up bag. First created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden to soothe skin, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant became an instant and overwhelming success"

So this little piece of information clearly speaks volumes about this product, and I couldn't agree more.

Well, to get to the not-so-pleasant reason why I bought this product. Now, please don't think of me as some weird human being, but I had a patch of terribly dry skin on my ankle. By terrible, I mean it was like this thick, dry skin covering my ankle. It had been there for years, and there was no reason why as I wasn't wearing shoes that rubbed on my ankles. So anyway, I'd tried many moisturisers and fancy skin creams, and nothing got rid of it....until this little pot of a miracle! I sound like I should be on Embarrassing Bodies...

The appearance of the pot is quite sweet, nothing too fancy. The smell of the cream, I have to admit, is a little potent. It has an almost clinical smell that isn't too pleasant. The actual cream is quite sticky, but applies very easily, and it takes a small amount to spread evenly over a large area. It takes a while to sink it, but the skin is left feeling so soft afterwards. It's taken around six weeks of applying once a day for the skin to finally be smooth again, but this is an amazing result after living with this awful dry skin for years!

Anyway ladies, do buy yourself a pot if you are suffering from dry skin, particularly eczema. A little goes a long way with this cream, so well worth the pennies!
