Wow, she got lucky...

I love a good nail polish. Nail polish is the new lipstick...a good varnish can make an outfit I think. The weather outside is beyond horrible at the moment, and I just wanted something cheerful on my nails! It may not be a winter colour, but I just think Lucky Lilac 50 for No 7 is just beautiful!

I'm not that keen on No7 beauty products, but their nail varnishes always please me. They have a wide variety of colours, and the consistency is always great. I think they're a bit too pricey for my liking, but I always wait for the Boots £5 voucher!

What do you think of No7 products?

Oh hi November's Glossy box...

I'm sure you know by now that November's Glossybox has arrived, horrah horrah! I'm hugely disappointed, yet very happy with this box!

So this months Glossybox included:
  • Arbone Fc5 Cooling foot creme
  • Dead Sea Spa Magik Dead Sea Bath Salts
  • Monu Skin Perfector
  • Nail Rock Designer Nail Wraps
  • Serge Lutens L' Eau Serge Lutens perfume samples.

So Glossybox was a small dissapointment this month. The hideous perfume samples did not make me happy...what a smell they had. Unisex perfume is never a good thing. Also, the nail wraps seem to make another appearance, as I'm sure they were in September's box? I'm not so keen on nail wraps...I think they're tricky to put on and I prefer to just paint my nails really. I am in love with the Monu skin perfector however. It is just so lovely on your skin and smells lovely. It left my makeup flawless all day...beyond impressed. This is one product I will definitely be purchasing. The other products were just alright I guess. Nothing spectacular.
I feel like Glossybox is lacking a little at the moment. Thinking back to a few months ago when Glossybox contained full sized products by well known brands...I just don't think they're cutting it as good as they used to be. I don't think I'll unsubscribe because I know I'll regret it when I see a great review from somebody, I just think they're a little hit and miss!

Do you get Glossybox? What do you think?

Christmas time, mistletoe and wiiiiine...

Yesterday I went to Manchester's Christmas Market. I was beyond excited. A few years ago I went to the Christmas markets in Cologne, Germany. I has such a lovely, festive time, so I was super excited to see what Manchester had to offer. They had German and French markets which was lovely, but I think the market is set to get even bigger in the next few weeks.

I was a little disappointed with the market for a number of reasons. Firstly, it was literally packed! At one time I spent around five minutes in one spot because I couldn't move. Not good. I guess that's to be expected though, so if you are going to go, don't expect a nice, Christmas stroll like I did! Also, the price was beyond expensive. I'm not sure whether there is some form of extra cost for shipping items, but there was a German market selling lovely sweets and cookies, but around the £15 price mark, which I thought was ridiculous!

There was a lovely open area where you could drink German beer, or have mulled wine and spiced hot chocolate, but it was so busy that you'd end up having your drink spilt on you. We did go on a Saturday as well, so I'm sure it's much quieter on a weekday.
I ended up heading to Primark after this, which was such a bad idea. I love Primark, and I never mind the crowds. I have no problem battling it out with someone to get the last top in my size, or people bashing into me, or even the long queues. Yesterday though....NO. I have never seen Primark so busy in my life. I actually didn't make it to the second floor which is just unheard of for me. I even had to find a chair because I most probably would have passed out.
Christmas time in Primark is horrendous. It's not your usual crowd, it's the "I'm on a mission" Christmas crowd. Somebody actually snatched a jumper out of my hands. So not on.
I did buy a few items though which I will post about in a few days!

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

eye eye, what's this?

I absolutely love mascara, and I try different ones pretty much every week because I love to experiment with my lashes! Today I woke up looking beyond tired, with just horrible, big bags under my eyes, so my eye makeup routine needed a little more applying than usual. Here's a sneaky peek...

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowCreme in 06 Ivory Lace is literally one of my favourite make-up products at the moment. It retailed at £15, and at first I thought this was overly expensive for such a small pot, but I've had it for over four months now and it looks near enough untouched. It's such a beautiful colour, and the best thing is that that it doesn't crease like most creme shadows. It stays in place the whole day. I like to put a few coats of it on in the evening for a more shimmery look, buts it's lovely in the daytime.
I seem to have the worst red eye bags at the moment too, as I'm sure you can see! I have no idea where they came from, but I'm guessing late night dissertation work! I was after a concealer for ages, and had been using a Jelly Pong Pong product which was beyond amazing, but when it ran out I thought I'd try another product, which was L'oreal infallible 16 hours concealer.

It is literally, amazing. The consistency of it is so good. It's thick but not doesn't give that horrible, caked look appearance. It blends lovely, and sits perfectly all day. I like to use it under the arch of my eyebrows too. Retailing at around £8.
I'm also enjoying Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping mascara. I don't tend to use many Revlon products, besides their lovely nail varnishes, and I was quite surprised by this mascara. I wasn't keen at first, but the thick wand is great at creating thick lashes, almost a Twiggy look...not every bodies taste, but I love wow lashes!

...and these are the results. So much better after a bit of magic. My eyes never looked so tired as they did this morning, but hopefully nobody can tell now!

Ohhh, it's here, it's here!

So my package from Florence and Fred arrived with my faux fur trim coat and faux fur stole...how exciting! I am beyond impressed. The quality is amazing. In fact, the photos didn't do these items justice....
So hello, some very posy photos of me!

Literally, the best quality faux fur. It's so smooooth, and silky and has a silk effect lining. Just beautiful, and it only cost £5.00.
Now, hello some photos of my new coat and a very posy me again...ha.

This coat is just beyond beautiful. It has the most beautiful faux fur trim collar, and the material is light yet thick enough for the cold.I love the pattern, the buttons...oh everything...oh, and the price! Reduced to £25.00 from £50.00...bargain!

Major apologies for the messy room and terrible highlights.

Wooosh, those lashes are big!

I'm a massive fan of all L'oreal products, especially their mascaras. I used to use the L'oreal Double Extension mascara, and then stopped using it for a while as I moved onto MaxFactor...however, I started using it again, and forgot how amazing it is! Basically, eye make up remover is not needed in order to remove it, but simple and free water! The mascara comes off in almost a tube appearance, and I have to hold a wet flannel over my eyes for around two minutes. Slight pain to remove, but I did worry that it obviously wouldn't be waterproof...however, don't worry about a small cry as it does not budge at all!

I love the brushes. Lashes appear thick, and long. I pur around three to four coats on as I love my lashes nice and thick, however, they look just as beautiful with two coats.

Apologies for the eyeliner that's worn off...doesn't look too attractive!
So glad I rediscovered this mascara! Retailing at £10.99 and there is 3 for 2 on all L'oreal products at Boots at the moment so it would be rude not to buy one!

I think it's important that you...

...check my ebay out, ladies! Well, I'm a poor student and I'm selling off some of my belongings as you do...but, and I know I'm biased...I am selling the most beautiful swing coat, with a soft leopard print collar, AND it is brand new with tags and never worn (because I purchased it three weeks ago on a whim, then checked my bank balance today and nearly cried!) Anyway, it's a real beauty, so I think you should look.

I really don't want to sell it but I may find myself a starving student in the next few weeks!
If you want to have at look, then please go to:

I'll be putting some more things onto ebay in the next few days, so take a peek!

Oh, F+F you are a real surprise....

Yesterday I purchased a gorgeous coat, a faux fur stole, and leather boots for....£65 (yes, for everything!). More surprisingly was that it was bought from Florence + Fred, the clothing range for Tesco. Here's a little sneak peak, and I reckon you should get yourself logged on to
http://www.clothingattesco.com
asap, ladies!

Coat with faux fur trim, £20.

I'm so in love with this coat. I can't believe it was only £20. Hopefully it looks just as good on as it does in the photos. Who would believe it was from a supermarket?

It's like Christmas in a bottle...

I think I may have found the best, Christmas nail varnish possible....and it only cost me £4! Accessorize recently bought out their new make-up range, and in all honesty, I wasn't that fussed....but that was until I saw their range. I am simply in love with their nail varnishes. I spotted a little gem in a bottle....

There are so many reasons why this is such a fabulous nail varnish. Firstly, look at it...amazing. It also took two coats until it was at its thickest consistency, it dried in literally two minutes, and it has yet to chip! Oh, and as a student, Accessorize now offer 10% off all full price items, so this little beauty cost me £3.60. Great.

I think it's pretty similar to the OPI sparkly nail varnishes, and dare I say it, a little better. I can't fault it, and I think it's perfect for the party season! Sadly, the nail varnish didn't have a name or number, and I'm not sure if this applies to the whole range, but I'm sure you'd be able to spot the colour quickly!

ooo, shiny shiny...I got foils...

I was beyond excited to try Barry M foil effect nail polish in gold. Who wouldn't want super shiny nails, especially with the Christmas season approaching! Well, there were positives and negatives for this little beauty...
Barry M say :  It is applied like any other Nail Paint but with a luxurious foil finish previously only achieved from a salon manicure. It only requires one coat and is very quick drying.

Well, it did only take one coat which was really impressive, and it dried super quickly. I applied a couple of coats because I wanted it to be super shiny!
The polish is pretty much chip resistant too. After one week I had few chips which for a nail varnish at £2.99 is pretty amazing.
However, there is one BIG flaw to this nail varnish...
It doesn't have a foil effect!
Shiny? Yes. Foil? No.
Maybe you may disagree, but it felt like any normal, gold nail varnish and I was pretty disappointed. I actually love the colour, I love how long it lasts, but hugely disappointed that it really doesn't look like foil!

Do you agree?
